Travelling On

Funny how we left on a
Greyhound bus last night
The winter wind was blowing
as you held my hand so tight
It was through the rain we made our
way to the corner by the shop
When I looked and saw a streetlight
I knew then we could not stop.

Travelling on
To what we do not know
Travelling on
To find a better life
Travelling on

It was only just the other day
I began to loose control
I looked into my hometown
to find it had no soul
It's gone just like the jobs,
the weddings and good times
It takes more than a strong will
to read between the lines

Travelling on

So we packed our bags and thought
about where we might go to
If the sky above is grey
somewhere it must be blue
We've learned the truth though it's
hard to face on a cloudy day
If we keep on looking forward
then forever we will stay

Travelling on
I know that we will find it
Travelling on
Forever we will stay
Travelling on.
